I Remember many years of girl scouts with Laurie as one of my leaders, lots of trips and fun times. And oh boy could she cook, i still remember how yummy the biscuits and gravy, taco salad, and chilli were. Who am I kidding everything she cooked was amazing lol. Of course I can’t thank her enough for having such an amazing daughter Katie who has been my best friend my entire life. RIP Laurie you will be dearly missed 💜

She was a tremendous friend. She treated my son Brandon as her own son. She will be missed. Her baking skills were second to none.

So many great memories of Eiya! From singing to making gingerbread cookies, to girl scouts camps and meetings to her and Granny’s cinnamon rolls. Her laugh and smile will forever be missed. She had a way to make even the ickiest day be better for those she loved. I count myself blessed to have called her Aunt (Eiya). I still remember her holding both my babies and singing to them. She was one of a kind and will forever be missed by those that loved her.

My dear friend, Laurie, will always be a forever part of the life of anyone she met. I have not met a person with more kindness and love to give others. She made me smile and laugh from the moment I met her and Edmond, the day they were moving into the apartment flat above us in Chicago. There will never be another quite like her and I was blessed to have had her in my life. She will be a wonderful addition to God’s Heavenly Kingdom, as she is forever young. I will see her in my dreams, I hope; then once more when my time on this planet is done. May peace be with her family and friends remaining in this present earthly life. Love.
