Lawrence Lavender Jr, 70, of Raytown, MO passed away February 12, 2024, at the Kansas City VA Hospital, from cancer. The visitation will be held at 1:30 pm and the Celebration of Life will be held at 2 pm, Saturday, March 2nd, 2024, at The Life church KC, 10400 View High Drive, Kansas City, MO 64134. Lawrence was born May 28th, 1953, in Tampa, Florida.
Lawrence went by the nickname, Larry and served in the US Navy from 11/3/70 to 1/3/78. He served two West Pac tours, both being in Vietnam. The rest of his career he spent in automotive sales. Some of Larry’s favorite things were playing golf, shooting pool with his friends and spending time with his family.
He is preceded in death by his father, Lawrence Lavender Sr, and his mother Erika Lavender.
Larry is survived by his wife of 50 years, Suzanne Lavender; daughter Michelle Cantrell; His son and daughter-in law, Travis, and Rachel Lavender; his grandsons, Aidan and Luke; His brother Karl Lavender and his two sisters, Hattie Stoltzfus and Laurie Coffey.
He will be sorely missed.
