Lena M. Zook
Lena Zook, 89, born Fort Scott, Kansas, March 13 1921 and passed away March 10, 2011. A visitation will be held at 10 AM and funeral service following at 10:30 AM, Tuesday March 15th at Heartland Cremation & Burial Society 6113 Blue Ridge Blvd, Raytown. She was preceded in death by husband of 71 years of marriage, Robert , son Patric and grandson Mike Lovick. She is survived by her son Robert, daughter Betty Belk, 8 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren, and 10 great great grandchildren. She loved taking care of her family and grandchildren. Lena went to Avila College were she took writing courses. She wrote children stories for Child Life, Golden and Young Miss magazines. Later she went to Longview College and took courses in art. From there she did painted family portraits. In the early 50’s, she and husband Robert started the MOKAN cat show. (Arr. Heartland Cremation & Burial Society 816-313-1677)
