On September 19, 1973, a baby boy was born to the union of Leonard C. Brown, Sr. and Doris (Nevels-Brown) Busari, in Kansas City, MO.
Leonard was baptized at an early age and was united with the Faith Mission Baptist Church under the late pastor Elder Malone.
Leonard graduated from Tempe High School, in Tempe, Arizona. He continued his education with an associate’s degree in Business Administration in Management from Northern Arizona University of Flagstaff, AZ.
Leonard enjoyed working. There was no project that he felt he could not accomplish. He was very family oriented. He loved each of his six children with all of his heart. He made a conscious decision to maintain a close relationship with all of his children. He strived to spend quality time with each of them. They were the love of his life. He was a true “American” dad in how he cared for them.
Leonard departed this life to dwell in Heaven with Christ for eternity. He was preceded in death by his father Leonard C. Brown, Sr. He is survived by his mother Doris (Nevels-Brown) Busari of Tempe, AZ; one brother Lamonte C. Brown Sr. of Las Vegas, NV; one sister, Cherrice Hubbard of Raytown, MO. He leaves his loving children: daughters Lebrea Lewin of Arizona, Leanna Brown of Minnesota, and Li’Naja Brown of Maryland; sons Micah Brown, Lemaree, and Levi Brown all of Minnesota. A very special aunt of Brooklyn Center, MN Ms. Janice Nevels. A host of nieces, nephews, close aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
