LeRoy Francis Vey, 86, of St. Joseph, passed away at the Veteran’s Hospital in Leavenworth, Kan.
He was born in St. Joseph to Harry and Helen Vey, who preceded him in death. He attended Central High School and served in the Navy during WWII and the Korean Conflict. He married Wilma Lawhon in 1944. She preceded him in death as did his son, Hal.
Surviving is his son Paul, of Stewartsville, Mo., along with numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Graveside service is scheduled for October 25th at the Leavenworth National Cemetery.
