Lesha Kay Nichols

Lesha Kay Nichols born October 18, 1972 in Kansas City, MO passed peacefully in her home February 4, 2020 surrounded by her family and fur babies at the age of 47.

Lesha was the oldest of her siblings. Her nurturing spirit was displayed at a very young age. She was the ultimate caregiver. She always put others’ needs in front of her own even when she shouldn’t have. Lesha graduated from Fort Osage High School in 1991. She later found her ideal path and perused her nursing career. She graduated from Sanford Brown College in 2000 and obtained her Licensed Practical Nurse degree. Her peers frequently looked to Lesha for guidance in their studies. Lesha always wanted to make sure those around her were included and cared for. She was always there to help those in need. Lesha enjoyed spending time with her family. She frequented the sporting events of her nieces and nephews. She loved being there to cheer them on from the stands.

Last May Lesha and Brian celebrated 25 years of marriage. Their love was truly the type found in fairy tales. Lesha was Brian’s princess. His love for her was evident to anyone that knew them.

She is survived by her husband Brian Allen Nichols, her mother Linda Kay West, her father James Edward West Junior, her sister Tammy Renee Moore and spouse Ronald Tracy Moore, her brother James Edward West III, her brother Scott Douglas West and spouse Amber Marie West, her birth father John Tolle and spouse Penny Tolle, her brother Johnny, her sisters June and Jonie.

Her nieces and nephews were very important to Lesha. She treated them as if they were her own children. Our hope is that we continue to see her positive personality traits displayed through each of them. She is also survived by Tylor James West, Ravyn Nikole West, Karlie Ann Moore, Zack Quentin West, Emma Kay Moore, Conner James West, and Alex James Moore.

Memorial services will be on February 15, 2020 from 3:00pm at Heartland Cremation and Burial Society 6113 Blue Ridge Blvd, Raytown, MO 64133. A visitation will be held prior to the service at 2:00pm.  Memorial contributions can be made to assist the family with final expenses.
