Let the family know you care by sharing this tribute
Lisa A. Hayton, 52, passed away at her home in Blue Springs, Missouri on December 16, 2024.
Lisa was a resilient, kind, and accepting woman. She had five children and frequently hosted “strays,” inviting their friends into her home for weekends, holidays, and sometimes longer reprieves. Lisa was a fierce protector, looking out for her loved ones’ well-being at every turn.
Lisa worked hard to support her family. At the age of 40, and with two small children at home, Lisa decided to pursue her dreams and went to college for nursing. She graduated in 2016 from National American University and happily began her career as a Registered Nurse both as a community nurse and in hospital nursing at Truman Medical Center. Caring for others was truly her passion and resigning from her position was one of the most difficult choices in her life.
Lisa is survived by her children, Patience (Mallory) Rankin, Johnathon Moore, Zane (Tiffany) Roe, Jacob Hayton, and Ash Hayton; five grandchildren, Owyn Holtcamp, Greta Holtcamp, Ean Roe, Isaac Roe, and Samuel Rankin; three siblings Bruce Daugherty, Tammy Hayton, and Samantha Becker; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by three sisters and both of her parents, Laverna Daugherty and Samuel Daugherty.
A celebration of life will be held Monday, December 23, 2024 from 10am-12pm at Heartland Cremation and Burial Society, 802 NW Vesper, Blue Springs, Missouri.
Lisa was a great nurse and everyone at Truman just loved her. Her family meant the world to her, She would talk about the love for her family many times at work. She has been missed and will continue to be missed among all her Truman family. I was so glad to have been apart of her life.
My heart goes out to the family; she is loved deeply by family, friends, and anyone that met her———–
Hush, my child,
it is only a short journey
to where you go
no sadness, no sorrow
no yesterday no tomorrow,
just embracing the hands
of Jesus, as you walk
through that gate—
for we all shall meet again-when it is
time.
My Aunt Lisa was a strong independent hopeful fearful helpful loving understanding protective righteous Christian hard working woman. She loved everyone & everything. Even though we hardly spoke, she told me that always loved me and cared about me the last time I talked to her. It’s so hard to come to terms with the fact that I won’t be able to text her or call her. B able to tell her how much I love and miss her. I know she is watching over me & she will always love me no matter what. Aunt Lisa I will never forget or let you go. It’s hard to breathe while typing this. You will always b with me everywhere I go. You r my family through thick & thin. I love you & miss you. We will c each other again.
