Lisa A. Smith

Lisa Ann Smith 62, of Independence Missouri crossed over Thursday May 21st 2020. She was born September 15th 1957 in Kansas City Missouri daughter of George and Dolores Faherty.

Memorial will be Saturday July 11th 2020 at Nativity of Mary church Independence  Missouri ( located in bottom level of school ) from noon to 3pm.

She is preceded in death by her father George Faherty, sister Lacy Faherty and sister Lynn Olivas as well as Maternal grandparents Ray and Margaret James  and Paternal  grandparents Henry and Katherine Faherty.

She is survived by her son, Christopher L. smith, mother Dolores Faherty, brother Charles Lee Faherty and sister in law Diana Faherty, Sister Lory Wilcher and brother in law Pete Olivas. She has 9 nieces and nephews as well as 13 great nieces and nephews.

Lisa worked as a Chef in the culinary industry. The last position she held was at Robert S Dole Courthouse cafe. She very much enjoyed working and  exploring with food as well as the people she worked with. People who met her immediately knew of her passion And love for the art of culinary.

She attended and graduated from Johnson County Community College. She received her Associates of Applied Science in Food and Beverage Management and Hotel and Lodging Management.
Lisa lived her life full of friends and family. She enjoyed Music, Arts, diverse Cultures as well as diverse cuisines. She enjoyed gardening reading and Long in-depth conversations with friends and family.

She will be missed by those she touched . She will live on in our hearts and memories.

    I am so sorry for your loss. Lisa was always such a joy to be around and her sense of humor was like none other and what a wonderful laugh – it would always bring a smile to my face.     I miss you MaMa !!! I wish you were here with me …. I am doing everything i can to have a BIG FINISH !!!! I miss you sooooo much …not a day goes by that i dont have a laugh about something funny you said or did …. I hope you know i love you more than my Luggage Calhouny I will always have you with me till I take my last breath !!!!
