Lonnie J Thatcher, 76, Raytown, Missouri passed away June 23, 2016.  A visitation will be held 9:00 – 10:00 AM, Thursday, July 7, 2016 at Heartland Cremation & Burial Society, 6113 Blue Ridge Blvd, Raytown, Missouri.  Memorial services will follow at 10:00 AM.  Military graveside services will be held 1:30 PM, Thursday, July 7, 2016 following the memorial service at Leavenworth National Cemetery, Leavenworth, Kansas.

Lonnie was born July 1, 1939 in Harlem, Missouri.  Lonnie is an United States Air Force Veteran and worked 40+ years at Land-Air Express as a local contract driver.  Lonnie will be remembered as a dedicated Christian.

He is preceded in death by; parents, Perry & Hazel (Hensley) Thatcher; brother, George Thatcher and a niece, Melissa Allwood.  Survivors include; wife, Bonnie Thatcher, of the home; sisters, Anna D Warner, Bradenton, Florida, Sharon J Dodson, Maysville, Missouri; daughters, Sara Thatcher-Acuna, Independence, Missouri, Shirley Rush, Raytown, Missouri, Jeannie Rush, Olathe, Kansas; seven grandchildren, four great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
