Lorene Alyss “Reesy” Tetley age 89 of Columbia, MO passed on February 10, 2010 at Lenoir Woods. She was born February 20, 1920 in Kansas City, Kansas. Her parents were Fred and Bertha Fuchs. She had a twin sister Jeanne Walker and an older sister Mary Royer who both preceded her in death. She graduated from Kansas City Kansas Public School May of 1938. She was married to William Anthony (Bill) Tetley at the 7th Street Methodist Church in Kansas City, Kansas on Christmas Eve, December 24, 1939 by its pastor the Reverend William A. Tetley where her mother was the Choir director. Her husband survives at Missouri Veterans Home in Mexico, MO. Besides being an excellent home maker, she worked at various jobs, marketing representative for the Rolla Daily News, Jefferson City News Tribune. She also spent many years working for the Missouri Division of Insurance. After her marriage she lived in the Missouri cities of Hale, Norborne, Butler, Rolla, Jefferson City, Fayette, and finally Columbia. While in Norborne she moved to Kansas City, KS to live with her mother and father as her husband served in WWII. She was a master at counted cross stitch and knitting. She sang in the "Hummingbirds" ladies barbershop quartet in Columbia.
Reesy is survived by her three sons; Fredrick William (Fred) Tetley and wife Linda, full time RVers, William Anthony (Tony) Tetley, Jr. and wife Kathy of Columbia, MO and Benton Murphy (Murph) Tetley and wife Linda of Fulton, MO. Grand children include Scott Tetley of Mandan, ND, Chad Tetley of Olathe, KS, Lynn Tetley of Cincinnati, OH, Jennifer Putnam of St. Genevieve, MO, and Alan Tetley of London, England.
A celebration of life will be held in Reesy’s honor at 1:00pm, Saturday, February 13th at the Epple Chapel, Lenoir Woods,3710 Lenoir Street Columbia, MO. No flowers please. Memorials are suggested to Lenoir Woods Benevolent Care, or the charity of your choice.

Murph, Linda, Fred, Linda, Tony, Kathy; it was a blessing being part of your family and knowing both your wonderfull parents. We share the loss of Mum but we know she is now free of pain and in a better place. Our prayers are with you all during this sad chapter in life.
