Lorine Carter

Lorine Carter, 63, was born April 7, 1953, to Jeffie Lee Taylor and Fannie Bell Taylor in Tyler, Texas.  She passed away at the University of Kansas Hospital on Thursday June 6, 2013, after a courageous battle with cancer.

Lorine graduated from Whitehouse High School in 1971.  She moved to Kansas City, Missouri and was united in marriage to Donald Wesley Carter in 1972. To this beautiful union two children were born, Deshonna and Derrick Carter.  She worked for JcPenny/ Alliance Data for 43 years.  She enjoyed cooking, baking, and watching cooking shows and westerns.

Preceding her in death are her mother Fannie Bell Taylor, brother Johnny Lee Taylor, and nephew Jeffie Alexander.  She leaves to cherish her memory her daughter Deshonna Carter, son Derrick Carter, granddaughter Sydney Carter and grandsons Derrick and Moses Carter all of Kansas City, Missouri.  Her father Jeffie Lee Taylor of Tyler, Texas; sister Eddie Jean Spencer of San Diego, California; sister Annie Wilson, brothers LeRoy Taylor (Rose), Jeffie Taylor Jr, and Willie Taylor all of Tyler, Texas; nephews Kency Alexander, Roderick Taylor, Johnny Taylor, Ronald Brown, Ricky Taylor, Willie Taylor Jr., Dubanic Garlington, Royce Taylor; nieces Aviance Taylor, RaShunda Parkes, Taneesha Taylor, Shirley Taylor, Tiffany Habeebullah; her very close and dear friends Spencer Cravens, Roy and Cheryl Gonzales, Marketta Hickman; and a host of great nephews, great nieces, cousins, relatives and friends.

Visitation will be held 1:00-2:00 PM, Wednesday, June 12, 2013 at Heartland Cremation & Burial Society, 6113 Blue Ridge Blvd, Raytown, MO.  Memorial services will follow at 2:00PM at Heartland.
