Louis Verle Wagner was born in Hastings, Oklahoma on December 4, 1908. His family later moved to Wichita, Kansas and later to Topeka. He attended Baker University in Baldwin, Kansas and graduated in the class of 1931. He was a member of Delta Tau Delta Fraternity and was active in music and track. In his adult career, he was a salesman, then during WWII, worked at Beach Aircraft in the presonnel department. After the war, he moved to Kansas City and worked as an insurance adjuster, maytag salesman, real estate salesman, and then a loan officer at Regional Realty and Investment Company. He retired from Regional in 1982. He was a member of Terrace Lake United Methodist Church where he sang in the choir and taught a Sunday school class. Louis is survived by his sister, Ruth Junk, his daughters, Linda Filbern and her husband Bill, Jo Fletcher and her husband Clay. He is also survived by grandchildren Chuck Wagner and his wife Rebecca, Gayle Coyazo, Stephanie Worrall, Hillary Hunt and her husband Scott, Natalie Ray and her husband Chad, and Melanie Worrall. He is also survived by eleven great-grandchildren. A memorial service will be held at Terrace Lake United Methodist Church, 4500 Red Bridge Rd, KCMO. Service will be 11:00 AM with fellowship time to follow. In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts to the church would be appreciated.
