Loyd Bruce McLain “Bruce”, 72, of Independence, MO passed away peacefully on January 21, 2024. Memorial gathering will be held from 10:00am-12:00pm, Saturday, January 27, 2024 at Heartland Cremation & Burial Society, 6113 Blue Ridge Blvd, Raytown, MO 64133. Following the service there will be a dinner at the VFW #1000.
Bruce was born June 21, 1951 in California. He loved woodworking. Bruce retired from the army and served in Vietnam, Germany and South Korea. He was a lifetime member of the VFW-Post #1000 and D.A.V. member: Eagles #385 and #3717.
He was preceded in death by: father, Loyd McLain; mother, Nadine McLain; and nephew, Thom Adkins.
Survivors include: loving wife, Rosemary McLain; siblings, Thomas McLain and Shawn McLain Pollock; nephew, Daniel (Baylee) Gwadera and their children, Colden and Evelyn.
