Lucille Welden

Lucille E. Cannaday Welden, born July 31, 1917, peacefully died at her home in Blue Springs, MO on Dec. 30, 2009 after a hospitalization. She was born in Newburg, MO to Rev. Daniel E. Cannaday and Ola Buckner Cannaday. She married William R. Welden in 1938 who preceded her in death in 1950. She is survived by daughter, Marilu W. Herrick & husband Rev. Stuart W. Herrick; son, William Robert “Bill” Welden II ; granddaughter, Michon Lester; great-grandchildren: Andrew, Marcus and Erin—all of Blue Springs; brothers: Charles Cannaday & wife Natalie, Kirksville, MO, Rev. Ken Cannaday, Maryland, Martin Cannaday & wife Betty, FLA, Rev. Dr. Travis G. Cannaday, FLA and brother-in-law Wallace Welden & wife Martha, FLA.

Funeral visitation is Jan. 9, Sat. at 1:00 with funeral service at 2:30 at First United Methodist Church in Blue Springs, MO, 301 SW Woods Chapel Rd. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Rainbow Center for Communicative Disorders at 900 NW Woods Chapel, Blue Springs MO 64015.
