Lucy Tye is already missed by loving family, friends and neighbors; she passed away Sunday, February 1st, at the Rosewood Rehab Center. She was born and raised in Northern Kentucky, lived in Central Ohio and West Florida, before marrying Richard Tye of Independence. She is preceded in death by sons, Danny and Dale Elam; brothers, Jim and Estel Corns; sisters, Lucille Oman and Helen Gratkowski. Survivors include husband Richard Tye; grandsons, Branden and Aaron Elam, and sisters, Etta Barney, Faye Broughton, and Lois Manfra. A memorial service will be held from 2-4 pm on Thursday February 12th at the home of Richard Tye, 14605 Covington Rd. Independence, 64055. Lucy’s ashes will be interred in Gahanna, OH at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital.

Boots ( Lucy) was a terrific woman and will be greatly missed. So sorry for your loss Richard! Prayers be with you.
I have known “Boots” for many years, we’ve not conversed since she moved from Ohio. She was a very close confident to our daughter Gina who is devestated. I love her so much, she was one strong, loving woman who adored her family. I am really hurt over her untimely death, she will be missed. My prayers go out to Richard and the family.
