Marie (Rhea) Allen

Rhea Allen, 78, Shawnee, KS passed away peacefully at home surrounded by family on July 17, 2007. She was born September 21, 1928 to Ernest and Flora (Garfit) Hambelton in Tecumseh, MO. On November 1, 1946 she and Eugene Allen were married in Baxter County, AR. Of this union, 5 children were born. She was preceded in death by her parents; her sister, Laverne Allen; son-inlaw, Bob Evans; son, Kirby Allen; and daughter-in-law, Cindy Allen. Rhea is survived by her husband, Eugene; children, Larry Allen, Vickey Yarger, Jill Whiteis, and Clayton Allen; 11 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; and a host of friends and relatives. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to John Knox Village Hospice, Lee’s Summit, MO. A visitation will be held at Westside Church of Christ, 8740 State Ave, KCKS 66112 on July 19, 2007 from 6-8 PM. A funeral service will be at Brushy Knob General Baptist Church in Gainesville, MO on Saturday July 21, 2007 at 2:00 PM.
