Mariesa Deanne Estes

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Mariesa Deanne Estes. She was born in Siloam Springs, Arkansas on October 7, 1960, and left this world on November 4, 2024 as a resident of Raytown, Missouri. 

She was the beloved daughter of Donna and David Cannon, and the cherished partner of Roger Shelton of 25 years. Mariesa leaves a legacy of love and joy through her four children, Jessica Estes-Fleischmann, Chelsea Estes, Cameron Ayers, and Corinne Ayers, as well as her nine adoring grandchildren that were the light of her life. She also leaves behind her loving brothers Hal Cannon and Tim Cannon, along with her nieces, nephews and many more loved ones.

During her time in Raytown, Mariesa attended Raytown South High school. Mariesa developed a passion for photography and worked at Olan Mills during this time. She excelled in track while attending high school and even broke some records there.  

Mariesa found joy in being a mother and a grandmother and an avid Kansas City Chiefs fan. She cherished moments spent with her loved ones, and her many dogs she loved over the years. These things brought her much joy. Sunday was her favorite day of the week since the Chiefs would be playing. 

Unfortunately, Mariesa’s life was cut short due to a long battle with cancer. The treatment weakened her body, leading to her untimely passing. She fought the hardest fight, but it was just too much for her. Mariesa’s spirit will live on in the memories of those who loved her. She will be greatly missed by all.

Visitation will be 2pm, Saturday, November 16, 2024 followed by a Celebration of Life at 3pm at Heartland Cremation and Burial Society, 6113 Blue Ridge Blvd, Raytown, Missouri 64133.
