Mark Panknin

Douglas Panknin, 52 of Overland Park, KS., passed away June 28 at his home. Douglas was born Sept 17, 1955, in Kansas City to Jerry and JoAnne Panknin. He attended Southwest High School, Wentworth Military Academy, and UMKC before joining the Army in 197. After the military he followed in the family tradition working as a general contractor. Douglas was preceded in death by his parents and father-in-law. Survivors include his wife Lynne, daughter Samantha, brother Steve and wife Jane Panknin, sister Debra and husband Butch Holcomb, nieces and nephews Merritt and husband Kevin Engel, Bob and wife Lorin Panknin, Jerry & Bo Panknin, Nick & wife Khadiga Holcomb, John Panknin, mother-in-law Jackie Sanders, brother-in-law Bob Sanders, and sister-in-law Debbie Kramer. Survivors also include numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. He will be deeply missed by all. A private family ceremony will be held at Leavenworth National Cemetery.     Debbie & Steve, I was so sorry to hear that your brother had died. Please accept my deepest sympathies. I often think of you even after all these years. My mother is also buried at Leavenworth National Cemetery.
