Mark Peckham

Mark L. Peckham, 61, of Blue Springs, MO passed away with family by his side on March 10, 2023, at Centerpoint Medical Center from complications due to pancreatic cancer.

Mark was born on October 10, 1961, in Pryor, Oklahoma. He had a long fulfilling life of servicing his surrounding community and country. Mark served 6 years in the United States Navy and continued his service to the community as a hospital security officer at local hospitals in the Kansas City area. He was the longest serving security officer at Centerpoint Medical Center, where he met his beloved wife, Robin, and North Kansas City Hospital.

Mark loved local history and collecting police memorabilia. As an avid collector he would often attend Collector Conventions, where he developed many friendships surrounding his hobby. Mark was a devoted family man and he enjoyed spending time with his loved ones, especially his grandchildren, who affectionately knew him as Papa.

Mark was preceded in death by his father Jeff Peckham.

Mark is survived by his wife Robin, mother Elaine, sister Meredith (Tina), daughters Nicole (Ryan), Erica (Robert), Whitney and Amy (David), sons Ryan, Justin and Brian (Whitney), 13 beautiful grandchildren: Dalton and Payton Coe, Tanli and Teddi Hall, Karsin, Payton and Parker Clark, Alexandra, Bailey, Tyson Griffin, Alexander Peckham, Kaine and Sofia Anderson.

Mark will have a private graveside at Missouri Veterans Cemetery in Higginsville, Missouri.

A Celebration of Life will take place Saturday April 29th, 2023, from 11:00 AM – 2:00 PM at The American Legion Post 21, 16701 E Us Highway 40. Independence, MO 64055.

    Robin,
    I had no idea he was sick. Everytime i would ask about hin you were always upbeat and strong. Im so sorry i wasnt there for you or him. He was an amazing friend who got me theough some hard times. He will be greatly missed. Love to you jen
