Marlin E. Crisp

Marlin E. Crisp, 81, Grain Valley, MO passed away July 5, 2020 in Independence, Missouri. Mr. Crisp was born October 20, 1938 in Manes, Missouri to Nolan and Verba (Austin) Crisp. Marlin moved to Kansas City, Missouri from Manes in 1955. In 1957 he married his high school sweetheart Sharon (Claxton) Crisp. They resided in the Kansas City area raising their three children and moved to the Chapel Hill area of Bates City, Missouri in 1972. They resided on their farm until earlier this year before moving to Grain Valley, Missouri. Marlin worked for Graves Truck Line for 37 years as a City truck driver. He enjoyed bluegrass festivals, square dancing, tractor pulls and most of all spending time with his family and friends, playing solitaire and Farkel.
Marlin was preceded in death by his parents Nolan and Verba Crisp, a brother Denny Crisp and his beloved cat, Tom.
He leaves behind his wife of 63 years Sharon R. Crisp, children; Bruce (Melanie) Crisp, Lynne (David) Elder and Sherry (Jon) Scott, grandchildren; Josh (Alyssa), Brandi (Bill), Regina (Eric), Holly (Brad), Clinton (Melissa), Katie (Gradyn), Brendon, and Seth along with 15 great-grandchildren and a brother Kerry (Teddie) Crisp and sister-in-law Sandy Crisp.
He was very much loved and will be missed. Marlin will be cremated and will be buried in the future.
