Marsha Darden Lantz

Marsha Darden Lantz surrendered her life to God’s loving care on May 3, 2011 at the age of 55. She was a native and lifelong resident of Kansas City, MO and dearly loved her home town. Marsha felt passionate about politics and her concern for social justice. She received her Bachelor of Social Work from Avila College and her Master of Social Work from Kansas University. She was devoted to her profession and found her work in Hospice very rewarding. She loved her family and friends and her cat, KC and felt her life was blessed with humor and laughter. Marsha was preceded in death by her parents, Marshall P. Lantz and Mary Virginia Smith; her uncle, William Lupton; and her uncle and aunt, Dr. Albert and Mary Monsees. Survivors include her sister, Christie Lantz; her aunt, Margaret Lupton; and many cousins. A memorial service is planned for Saturday, May 7th at the Church of the Resurrection, 13720 Roe Ave, Overland Park, KS at 2:30 PM. Memorial contributions may be made to the Kansas City Missouri Union Mission, the Salvation Army, or Wayside Waifs. (Arr.
