Marsha Forbis

Marsha Forbis of Independence, MO passed away March 11, 2010 at home. She was born in Ironton, MO to Mary Jean Neely and Don O. Neely. Cremation. She was a loving mother and grandmother. She is survived by two daughters, Christine Ann Sponheimer of SC and Robin Lee Smith of Kansas City; four grandchildren that she adored more than life itself: Cameron 10, Jake 9, Connor 8, Tyler 4; her brother, John K. Neely, and sister, Jean Neely and her mother, all of Colorado; and her husband of 43 years, Jerry L. Forbis, Also mourning her loss is her best friend/caretaker, Richard Smith of Independence. She blessed us with her gifted artwork and amazing children’s literature. Her love for animals and wonderful sense of humor will remain in our hearts forever. Friends and family can visit the home on Tuesday, March 16 between 2-7 p.m. In lieu of flowers, Marsha would like donations sent to Kansas City Art Institute. GO CHIEFS!!
