Martha Eileen Shockey

Martha Shockey, 63, St. Joseph, passed away May 5, 2011.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.

Martha worked for the Family Support Division for 33 years in the clerical position and finally the front desk receptionist until her heath forced her to retire. She loved her dogs and cats and loved to read and do puzzle books. She collected may angel figurines over the years.

Her parents and her husband, Rickey Shockey preceded her in death.

She is survived by cousins, Ann and David Carlile, Linda Davis, and Camilla Slauther; mother-in-law, Wilma Shockey of Colorado; brothers-in-law, Ben and Tammy Shockey and Glenn Lorenz, all of Colorado; sister-in-law, Tammy and Kenny Urban of Missouri; and Jan Mosier and Caroline Nigh, friends whom she adopted as sisters.
