Martha Ellen Manning, 80, of Shawnee, KS passed away on February 28, 2022. Services will be held at Metropolitan Southern Baptist Church in Kansas City, KS on Saturday, March 5, 2022. The visitation begins at 1:00 pm followed by a memorial service at 2:00 pm.
Martha was born on September 14, 1941 in Toledo, OH. She grew up in Topeka, KS and graduated from Topeka High School. In 1961, she married Eldon J. Manning. Together they had three children and they made their home and raised their family in Overland Park, KS. Martha had different jobs during her lifetime, but her two most favorite were being a mother and working with her best friend, Jeanie, putting out several motorcycle magazines. Martha was a strong woman of God who also guided her children to know Jesus.
Martha was preceded in death by her father, Dr. Ross Dale Dickson; mother, Garnett Eva Silliman Dickson; brothers, Dr. Dale Dickson and Robert Dickson; husband, Eldon Manning; son-in-law, Terry Roth; and two granddaughters, Katie Pearson and Lauren Boulanger.
Survivors include daughter, Mary Boulanger of Independence, KS; daughter, Sarah Roth of Holden, MO; son, John (Lori) Manning of Lenexa, KS; granddaughter, Anna (Nick) Cundiff; granddaughter, Gwyn Roth; grandson, Nicolas (Kylie) McFarland; great granddaughters, Lexi Rowe, Kamdyn Pearson, and Savannah Cundiff; and great grandsons, Emmett Pearson and Jeremiah Cundiff.
