Mary Catherine Standsberry

Mary Cathrine Standsberry was born in Leflore, Mississippi (Granada County) to Willie and Martha Bryant on March 18,1944.

Mary graduated from Threadgill High School in 1962. She retired from the Metropolitan Public Transportation. Where she loved driving for 25 years.

Mary was known by all as a hard worker, first working at Phone Company, Western Electric in Lee Summit Mo. For the next 25 years, she worked as a Metro City Bus Driver, until she retired in 2006. In retirement she enjoyed spending quality time with family and friends supporting and encouraging many in their spiritual growth. She truly loved her family and her friends, never hesitating to make great sacrifice to help them.

Mary dedicated her life to Jehovah on June 11,1976 at Kemper Arena in Kansas City Missouri. She loved Jehovah and made that evident by helping many family members and others to the point of dedication and baptism. It was her desire to see her grandchildren serve Jehovah.

Mary passed away on March 23, 2021.

Mary was preceded in death by her parents, Willie and Martha Bryant, and her brother, Samuel Bryant.

She leaves to mourn her death, her son Antonio (Tony) Bryant (Sherri), her daughter, Maranda Sample (Randy). Two sisters Willie Fluker (George), and Rebecca Anderson (Clem), brother James Fredrick Bryant; five Granddaughters Shequetta (Nathan) Finley, Antonya (Jason) Vargus, Marquetta (Eric) Stewart, Jasmine Sample, Amber Sample,
8 Great grandchildren, Symone Steward, Jurnee Steward, Ryland Sample, Karter Sample, Sam Finely, Hannah, and Kathleen.

A host of nieces / nephews, All dearly loved so much so that Mary is Grandma to them all!

    You BOTH have my deepest love. I have been part of your family for over 45yrs. I watch you’ll grow in to the beautiful, loving and dear persons you are today. That is due to my dear sister’s love for Jehovah and love for her babies. She was the rock of her family and will be truly, truly missed.     Dear Tony and Miranda I ve know you for over 40 years and your Mother linger. We serve Jehovah faithfully over the years and l’m looking forward to the resurrection. She was there with me when I lose my sister. I want to express my love to you and remember Jehovah is with us all and continue to serve him and we will welcome her back in the resurrection.
