Mary Ellen (Bruner) McPheeters

Mary Ellen (Bruner) McPheeters, born January 28, 1923 passed away on Sunday January 23, 2022.

During WWII, she was a “Rosie the Riveter” at Fairfax in Kansas City, MO assembling the B-25 Bombers.  They moved to Raytown, MO in 1954. She later was a cook for the Raytown School District and a longtime member of Blue Ridge United Methodist Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband, JAMES FLOYD MCPHEETERS of 76 years and her son, Kenneth James McPheeters.

She leaves behind a legacy of a family she filled with love; a son, David Lee McPheeters;  a son Donald Keith McPheeters; a daughter, Katherine Ann McPheeters; 3 Grandchildren and 6 Great Grandchildren.

    Mom was a wonderful soul. She loved and was loved by many. She will truly be missed.

    Mary was an absolute sweetheart and a joy to visit. I loved listening to the stories she would share of her expansive life. She will be missed so much by so many. I’m thankful she passed peacefully at home and is finally and once again reunited with her loving husband James. Rest In Peace, Mary.
