Mary Elizabeth Smith, 78 Leawood, KS passed away January 16, 2010 at her home. Liz requested cremation with a memorial service to he held at a later date at her home church, Grace Episcopal Church, Chillicothe, MO. Mrs. Smith was born August 29, 1931 in Chillicothe, MO. Liz graduated from Chillicothe High School and attended Chillicothe Business College. She worked as a secretary for various businesses in Kansas City as well as Chillicothe. She was preceded in death by her husband, Rex J. and daughter, Pamela Louise; and her parents. Survivors include her daughters, Kimberly McIrvin (Doug Wilson), Cedar Rapids, IA; Alison Stanley (David Stanley), Lee’s Summit, MO; Janet E. Talley, Beggs, OK; and Dianne L. Smith, Philadelphia, PA. She is also survived by three grandsons, Sean McIrvin, Benjamin Talley, and Ryan Talley; one granddaughter, Alivia Stanley; and one great grandson, Blake Talley.
