Mary G. Stewart, 79, of Warsaw, Missouri, passed away on November 16, 2018 at St. Luke’s Plaza Hospital from a long illness. Memorial Services will be held at 11:00 AM, Saturday December 1, at Poplar Baptist Church of Warsaw, Missouri.
Mary was born on October 28, 1939 in Independence, Missouri. She was the daughter of Wilfred and Velma (Wells) Lane. She grew up in the Kansas City, Missouri area and graduated from William Chrisman High School in 1956. She worked for the Kansas City, Missouri Public School District until she retired to Warsaw in 2007.
Mary loved her church and the Lord Jesus. She was a loving daughter, sister, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and great-great grandmother. She was a caring, loving family member who cared deeply for all that knew her, she knew no strangers. Mary cherished her children and all of her many grandchildren. She loved the lake where she could sit and watch nature, the birds that would visit her feeders, reading, embroidery and fishing.
She was preceded in death by her mother, father, son Donald Stewart, JR, daughter in law, Debbie (Oldham) Stewart, and step grandson, Joey Horton. Mary is survived by her sister, Gayle; adopted sister, Beth; daughter, Judith & Dale Klink,;sons, Steven Stewart, Scott & Sherril Stewart; daughter-in-law Tina L. Stewart; grandsons, Michael & Renee Rice, Jesse & Joanie Stewart, Travis & Cortney Stewart; step grandsons, Joe & Jennifer Kraxner, Dustin & Rachel Kraxner; Nephew, Bill McFarlane; great grandsons, Michael Rice JR and Nicolas Rice; great granddaughters, Mikki Rice and Bethanie Rice; great great great granddaughters, Myra and Meredith; and many, many other family members and loved ones.
She will be sadly and deeply missed by all who knew her. Many family, friends and loved ones. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Poplar Baptist Church of Warsaw.
