Mary Helen (Rios) Williamson

Mary Helen (Rios) Williamson, 78, of Kansas City, MO passed away Monday, April 20, 2020. Burial will be held on Friday, May 1, 2020 at Mt. Washington Cemetery, 614 Brookside Ave, Independence, MO.

Mary was born March 15, 1942, in Kansas City, MO to Rosalio and Evira C. (Perez) Rios, one of 19 children. Mary graduated form Redemptorist High School lin Kansas City at the age of 19 in 1961. Long hours of work and school finally paid off when she received her diploma. Mary was involved in several clubs while in high school: Sodality ’58; Pep Club ’58, ’59, ’60; Operetta ’58; Civics Club ’58; Glee Club ’58; G.A.A ’58; Camera Club ’58; Spanish Club ’60; Blue & Gold Staff ’61; Latin Club ’61. She was the official photographer for the yearbook at Redemptorist High School. Mary had a passion for photography. She was a very hard worker and provided for her family while working for Ave electric for many years and later retiring from Parker McCrory both of Kansas City, MO. Mary’s Sunday traditions were watching The Johnny Canales show in the morning followed by making tacos.
