Mary J. Hearn

Mary Hearn passed away on Monday, November 6, 2017. She was born July 22, 1953, the youngest of Mack and Janie McSpadden. She graduated from high school on Oak Grove, MO, attended college at St. Paul’s in Concordia, MO and received an associate’s degree from Longview Community College. Mary was also a U.S. Navy veteran and a member of the Woods Chapel United Methodist Church. She is survived by her two children, Nathan and Amber Hearn, her sister, Connie Decker, brother, Bruce (Marilyn) McSpadden, as well as many other family members and friends. Mary enjoyed reading, her job at FCI Federal, and spending time with others. She will be greatly missed.

A visitation will be held on November 22, 2017 from 10:00-11:00, followed by a memorial service from 11:00-11:30 at Woods Chapel United Methodist Church, 4725 Lakewood Way, Lee’s Summit,MO 64064. Her ashes will be interned in the church’s columbarium located on the property.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to the Woods Chapel United Methodist Church. Her family wishes to extend their heartfelt appreciation to her friends at work and Woods Chapel for all their care and concern.
