Mary Lou DeCaigney, 94, of Independence, Missouri passed away April 7, 2026. She was born July 13, 1932, in Kansas City, Missouri, to James and Lorena Stuckley. Mary retired with 15+ years civilian service with the Marine Corps Finance Center of Kansas City, Missouri.
Mary Lou is preceded in death by her parents, two brothers James and Gerald Stuckey, one sister Renee Williams and two children, Michael and David DeCaigney.
She leaves behind, one sister RuthAnn Valdez Norman, Oklahoma; three children Steven DeCaigney and wife Debbie; Susan Wartenbee and husband Alan, and Phillip DeCaigney; seven grandchildren, eleven great grandchildren; one great, great, grandchild; and several nieces and nephews.
Mary Lou, along with her son David will both be laid to rest with her mother Lorena at my Mount Olivet Cemetery, April 23, 2026, at 11am. A Mass will be said at St. Regis Catholic Church, 8941 James A Reed Rd. Kansas City, Missouri 64138 on Saturday, May 16, 2026, at 3pm.
