Mary Magdalen Luke

Magdalen Luke, 97, made her transition May 15, 2012 in Overland Park, KS.  Born February 25, 1915 in Yates Center, KS, she lived 70 years in Kansas City.  She worked for SS Kresge Co. as office manager and later as office manager for Style-Craft Greeting Card Co., along with volunteering for many organizations over the years.  She was an active member of Ladies of Charity, Knights of Columbus–Ladies Auxiliary, and a St. Joseph Medical Center volunteer for 22 years.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Leroy Luke; sisters, Irene Crahan, Lucille Winters and Margaret Trageser;  brothers, Paul and John Crahan; nephews, Mark Crahan, and John Michael Trageser. She will be missed by son, Bob Luke and wife, Marla; granddaughter Erica Siebert and husband, Mark; great-granddaughters,  Kierstin and Kendall, grandson, Jacob Luke, all of Kansas City area; daughter, Mary Jo Weber and husband, Dennis;grandson Nathan Weber; granddaughter Andrea Weber all of Sacramento, CA , nieces,  Mary Trageser and Carol Kolenda of Kansas City area.  Visitation will be at Christ the King Catholic Church, 85th and Wornall, Kansas City, MO on Saturday, May 19, 9:00-10:00 am, funeral at 10:00 am. Luncheon immediately following in the Church Hall.  In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to Seton Center, 2816 E 23rd, KC, MO. 64127, where Magdalen volunteered.
