Maurine was deeply devoted to her faith and she lived out her life serving in church, The Reorganized Church Of Jesus Christ of Later Day Saints. Over the years, Maurine served in many capacities within the church working with the women’s and children’s departments in various capacities. In her final years she became a member of the Remnant Church Of Jesus Of Later Day Saints.

Maurine began her career at the VA Hospital and eventually retired from there in 1994. She filled many capacities over the years and eventually retired as a Medical Coder. She had a love for helping others that continued in her retirement.  She spent time working with hospice and other volunteer organizations.  She enjoyed spending time with her husband working in their flower and vegetable garden.  Maurine and Wayne took many trips together over the years with an appreciation for the beauty of the United States. One of her most memorable trips was to the east coast, going to Washington DC and Niagara Falls.

Some of Maurine’s greatest joys came from spending time with her grandchildren, grandsons, Morgan and Ryan Drosche, and Derek Hendrix, and wife Heidi, and granddaughters, Jennifer Davenport, and Laura Reed, and husband Jeremy Reed. She also cherished spending time with her great-grandchildren Abbygayle Duffey, Damian  and Brayden Reed, and Hannah McKinley Hendrix.

She began her life in a loving family and passed from this life with her loving husband and family surrounding her. She will be missed and remembered by all who knew her.

In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting donations to be made to the Brav Foundation. This foundation was close to Maurine’s heart for the support it has given her grandson’s and other children dealing with Chiari Malformation. Donations can be made at:  braveforcsf.com
