Melvin Allen, 86, Shawnee, KS passed away June 14, 2014 at his home. Visitation will held from 6-8 PM Thursday, June 19, 2014 at Westside Church of Christ, 8740 State Ave., Kansas City, KS. Mr. Allen was born November 1, 1927 in Gainesville, MO. He was a lover of music, a son of God and an avid drinker of Folgers Coffee. Melvin was preceded in death by his wife, Marie and a son, Kirby. He is survived by his sons; Larry and Clayton, and daughters; Vickey and Jill.
