Michael Allen Starke

Friday July 24, 2020, Michael Allen Starke, beloved son, brother, uncle and friend passed away at 38. Michael was born on September 11, 1981 in Columbia, Missouri to Newman and Karen Starke of Hartsburg. Michael graduated Moberly Area Community College with his Associates Degree. He then went on to gain a degree in Motorcycle Mechanics from Wyotech in Daytona Beach, Florida. At Wyotech he graduated with honors, second in his class.

Michael had an artistic soul. He loved drawing, singing, writing music and was a tattoo artist. He was a man with no fear, loved living on the edge and lived to show that his wheelchair did not stop him from doing anything that he set his mind to.

Michael is survived by his parents, Newman and Karen; grandmother Zella Starke; brother Charles N. “JR” (Stephanie) Starke of Palm Coast, Florida; three sisters: Samantha (Brent) Cannon of Daytona Beach, Florida; Erin Starke of Hartsburg, Missouri; Shannon (Scott) Porting of Hartsburg, Missouri; eight nieces, ten nephews, many aunts and uncles and cousins. Michael was preceded in death by his grandfather Charles B. Starke and grandparents Marion & Pearl Nelson.

We will be having a celebration of life for Michael on Friday, July 31st at the Ashland Park under the big pavilion. We will start at around 4pm; come anytime after 4 to reminisce and celebrate Michael’s life with us.

I didn’t believe it when I was told that Michael had passed. He was so kind and gave me enough confidence to start my growth as a person.
