Michael Arthur Gray

Michael Arthur Gray, 77 of Rocheport, Missouri passed away on October 4, 2023. He was a beloved husband, father, stepfather and Papa who will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

Michael was born October 19,1945 in Sherman, Texas to Kathleen Williams and Julius Cesare. He attended the University of Wyoming on a track scholarship followed by the University of Missouri. He remained in Columbia and began his 45 year career as General Manager with Boyce & Bynum Pathology Laboratories, Inc.

He was married to Mary Ann Bono from 1967 to 1990 and they shared two children. He married Beth Ivan in 1993 and they shared a love of travel and raising and racing quarter horses. His hobbies included flying, sailing, hunting and fishing. He particularly enjoyed attending sporting events for his grandchildren who were the lights of his life.

He is survived by his wife Beth; his son Clayton Gray (Karla) of Smithville, MO, his daughter Christy Philpot (Tony) of Joplin, MO, and stepson Gabe Ivan, of Columbia, MO. He is also survived by his grandchildren; Addison and Nathan Gray, and Sydney, Ashley, and Hally Philpot.

He was preceded in death by his mother Kathleen Heady.

A Celebration of Life will be held starting at noon on November 17,2023 at the Reichman Indoor Pavilion at Stephens Lake Park, 2300 East Walnut St. Columbia, Mo.
