Michael Don Chauvin

Michael Don Chauvin, 69, Olathe, Kansas passed away on Thursday, June 20, 2024. Family and close friends will attend a Celebration of his life at a private venue.

Michael was born May 18, 1955, in Kansas City, Kansas, where he was also raised, the son of Robert and Ruth (Tomlin) Chauvin. Growing up he created his fair share of mischief, the stories of which he still loved to tell.

Michael was a great salesman in the home improvement industry which he retired from. He won many trips for sales achievements that he and his wife traveled, along with other vacations with close friends. Most of all, he enjoyed being with family, from holidays to lake vacations – taking kids and grandchildren out on the boat, skiing and tubing, going to shows and having fun in Branson. Michael rarely missed a KU Basketball or K.C. Chief’s game. He also enjoyed playing golf with friends and family for several years and then replaced that hobby with being the owner of a Harley Davidson Motorcycle. Michael and his wife, Cindy, enjoyed many trips on two wheels and met new friends along the way.

Michael was preceded in death by his parents, brother William (Linda) and sister Barbara. He is survived by his wife Cindy, sister Susan, brother Dennis (Debi). He is also survived by his children Kristi, Heather (Jack), Jeremy (Michelle) and Lisa (Paul), along with beloved nieces, nephews and grandchildren.

Even in passing he was so grateful for the full life of memories and, true to character, still cracking jokes. Michael was always willing to forgive and urged everyone to get along and love each other.
