Michael “Mic” LeRoy Coldwell

Farewell, until we meet again, someday, somewhere……

Michael (Mic) LeRoy Coldwell, 68 of Raytown passed away peacefully in his sleep 11/3/2019.

Mic was an avid KC Chiefs fan who loved his wife and family deeply. He was also lifelong ‘Cable dog’ and spent many years travelling the country and passing his extensive knowledge to younger generations. Mic was very passionate about his grandchildren, his Harley and his German shepherds Leila & LaKota. Those close to him knew he would love any off colored joke, a political debate or a good action movie.

Michael leaves behind his wife, Carla (CJ) Coldwell (Andrews), sister Lisa Broom & husband John, sister Becky Wood, brother Greg Coldwell & wife Johnnie, brother Jeff Coldwell & wife Mika, Stepdaughters Tiffanie Leehy & husband Tony and Christy Sewing & husband Dan, grandchildren Samantha Rogers, Coleton Sewing, Mason Sewing and Abigayle Rogers, and many nieces and nephews.

Mic was preceded in death by his daughter Kimmy, mother Rosemary, and father Donald and stepfather Earl.

Please join Mic’s family for a Celebration of Life Potluck Luncheon. Bring a dish and gather with family and friends to casually celebrate just the way Mic would want us to. We will be gathering from 1pm-5pm Saturday November 9th at Ivanhoe Masonic Lodge located at 8640 Holmes Rd, Kansas City, MO 64131.

 

So come, my friends, be not afraid.  We are so lightly here.  It is in love that we are made, and in love we disappear.

    CJ I am so sorry. I know you are more devastated than I am. He and I loved each other so much. His love for me got me through some tough times. He loved passionately. I miss that. I miss his corny jokes. I miss his laugh. I love you Sis.

    He taught me a lot about the cable business, took me under his wing, got under my skin, ALWAYS supported me and my girls, picked on all 3 of us unmercifully…. but at the end of the day, we were HIS girls. We loved every minute of his antics, his attention, his arguments and his protectiveness- we would never admit it, but he always knew. Manny’s will never be the same without you Poppy…. Please continue to watch over my babies- until we meet again. Love you~ T

    I am so sad to hear about your loss. I cannot imagine how you must be feeling. I know I will miss
    him very much. Even though I didn’t see him as much as I should have and most of all I will miss the the times when
    we did see each other he always said “HEY CUZ”.

    I remember times when we were close and times when we were far – but in all these times I knew I was loved. I will always remember his enormous smile, his contagious laugh and his awesome popcorn. I am sad beyond words to lose my big brother but happy that he is free of pain. I know that he is with Mom and that makes me smile. CJ – you will always be my Sis – Lisa
