Michael McGarvey, 59,beloved husband of Maelynn McGarvey, passed away January 2, 2019. There will be a Visitation at 10:00 AM with a Memorial Service to follow at 11:00 AM on Saturday,January 19, 2019 at Heartland Cremation & Burial Society, Raytown, Missouri 64133.
Michael was a loving stepfather of David and Crystal Guhr, and adoring grandfather (Papa) of Shiloh Roby.
He was preceded in death by his parents, James and Shirley McGarvey (divorced). Michale is survived by his stepmother Judith McGarvey, sisters Susan McGarvey, Linda (David) Glienke and Heather (Andy) Hock; brothers James (Brid) McGarvey and John (Deborah) McGarvey. Fond uncle of many.

So very sorry for the loss. Mike was a great co-worker and will truelly be missed.
I enjoyed working with Mike. He was such an inspiration. He is missed.

Michael was a sweet and easygoing man, who never complained, and appreciated anything anyone ever did for him. He was optimistic about his illness and thought he would beat it, but sadly that wasn’t to happen. We all loved Mike and will miss him dearly.

I did not know Mike but I know his sister Susan from being co-workers at JCCC and I know she will greatly miss her brother. Susan, you have my deepest loving sympathy and are in my thoughts and prayers during this sad time.

Loss of a loved one is never easy under any circumstance. Especially so when that person is just all around good. Let your memories bring you comfort and celebrate his life for all the days to come My thoughts and prayers are with you.

Mike was a Godly man, an honorable person, and a good friend. And, if you are looking for an example of a person of considerable personal and professional character, Mike would be your guy.
