Michael Raymond Lee

Michael Raymond Lee passed away February 6, 2025 at the age of 76 in Overland Park, KS surrounded by his family.

Mike was born on December 11, 1948 to Raymond and Harriet Lee in Oak Park, IL. After moving to Coffeeville, KS, his family relocated to Cedarburg, WI in 1959. He graduated from Cedarburg High School in 1966 and attended UW Whitewater, then Spencerian College, graduating with a Business Administration degree. He married his high school sweetheart, Kathleen Hercules, in 1969. Mike and Kathe had three children (Jacqueline, Michael, and Jessica) before moving from Wisconsin to Ohio, Iowa, Missouri, California, and Kansas. Most of his career was with Real Estate Development companies.

When his children and grandchildren were growing up, he was always their #1 fan on the sidelines of any sport they played. He had a great sense of humor remembered by many, loved a good laugh, and to have a good time. Especially golfing all over with Kathe, as well as close friends Joe and Barbara Canfield.

He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Kathleen (Hercules) Lee; children, Jackie (Tony) Runk, Michael Lee, and Jessica (Jim) Leslie; grandchildren Anthony and Aidan Runk, Michael and Ava Lee, and Sydney and Sean Leslie; and sister, Kathy (Lee) Keehn.

Mike wished to not have formal services held in his passing, but a celebration of life will take place in Wisconsin in the summer of 2025 where family and friends can share stories and wonderful memories of their times with him throughout his life. He will be smiling and laughing along with everyone while watching from above…just the way he would have wanted.

So sorry, Kathe to hear of Mike passing. I’ll always remember the good times I had with you two playing games, having dinner and cocktails together, and sitting out on the deck chatting when I lived next door to you guys out at Maple Crest. RIP Mike.

Jené and I hope that in time the joy and peace you find in sharing all the happy memories will outweigh the loss you feel. You’re in our thoughts. ♥️

Your AZ Family is feeling so sad about Mike’s passing! The last time we saw all of you was at Julie’s wedding. I wish we as first cousins were closer in distance so we could have shared more time together. You have so many wonderful memories together as a family to look back on. Please let me know when Mike’s Memorial will be in WI. Love Patty
