Michael Wigginton

Michael Wigginton, age 77, of Baldwin City, Kansas, passed away peacefully on July 25, 2026.

Michael Wigginton was born on January 31, in Cleveland, Texas, beginning a life of adventure and quiet strength. He grew up under the wide, southern Texas skies, and spent many summers as a child in Venezuela with his family. His life’s journey took him from Texas to Florida, then Oklahoma and New Mexico, where he resided outside of Albuquerque with his wife, Janet Parisi.

Jan was Michael’s partner in every adventure, and together they enjoyed peaceful times in their small mountain town for many decades. They explored the state together, visiting old mining towns and filling their home with art they loved. Michael’s work shifted to a love of carpentry, where his hands shaped wood into works of beauty and purpose. They crafted beautiful things for their home and painted it to reflect their love of the Southwest. Michael’s happiest moments were spent with Jan and his children, playing guitar, building model airplanes, and driving his old Jeep.

Michael is survived by his four children Eric, Alex, Casey and Kellye; his brothers Bill and Charles; and his grandchildren Cole, Alyssa, Ethan, Hunter, Chayce, and Kellan. He is reunited in peace with his wife Janet; his parents Bill and Betty; and his brother Ricky. He will be missed.
