It is with great sadness that the family of Misty Trevino (Jett) announce her passing. Misty passed away on November 13, 2024 at the young age of 44. Misty succumbed to complications of a rare condition known as calciphylaxis. She fought vigorously but, was ultimately called home to heaven.
Misty is survived by her grandmother, Ruth; parents, Cyndi and Carl; children, Noah and his fiancé – Elizabeth, Caleb, Elijah, Christopher, and Gabriel; grand-daughter, Aurora; siblings, Joshua and Krysten; long-time boyfriend, Chris and step-child, Philomena.
Misty was a lifelong resident of Independence, Missouri where she started raising the first of her children in 1999. Being a mother was her one true passion above all else. She never made a single decision without thinking of her children. She was born to nurture. Aside from her immediate family, she had an extensive list of close friends who had become extended family over the years. Misty was a beacon of light in an often times dark world and will forever be missed. Although the emptiness felt by her departure may never seem to cease, we can rest easy knowing that Misty is with God now and has journeyed on to much greater things.
Though Misty has left so many of us behind, she is not alone. She walks now with Jesus through the kingdom of heaven where she reunites with her grandfather Michael, brother Jeremiah, cousin Christopher and two babies of her own. As much as she loved all of us that are left behind, she was needed more in heaven and so we bid her farewell, until we meet again.
There will be a visitation for friends and family on Monday, November 25, 2024 at Heartland Cremation & Burial Society, Raytown, MO from 10:00-11:00 am followed by funeral service at 11:00am. Following the service she will be laid at her final resting place at Mt. Olivet Cemetery in Kansas City, Missouri.
There will be a Celebration of Life service at a later date and time where friends and family can gather to honor and remember Misty.
This makes me sad although we lost touched threw the years my love is with the family
