Myrna Leah French

Myrna Leah French, of Spring Hill, KS, formerly of Gardner and Mulberry KS, left this world on July 5th, 2016, to be free of all suffering and fear, to spend eternity with Jesus and past loved ones. Born March 6th, 1938 in Kansas City, KS, to Harvey Gale and Olive Wickwire. Myrna worked as a secretary before retiring.  She loved easily and she loved fiercely.  You never parted ways from Myrna without an, “I love you.”  And she meant it.  She was a loving mom, grandma and great grandma.  Myrna always had a quick smile and a joke for all of her family and friends. Everyone who knew her, loved her.  Myrna was very generous and it made her heart happy to give to others.  If she could not buy a gift, she would give something of her own, if she thought the person would like it.
Myrna is survived by her daughter, Debra Gamble of Spring Hill, KS, grandson, Vincent Gamble (Beth) of Olathe, KS, great grandchildren; Michael, Sean, Roman and Diane, brother, John Wickwire (Frances) of Oklahoma City, OK, sister, Florence Wickwire-Crider (Dan) of Mulberry, KS. She also leaves several cousins, a multitude of nieces and nephews she adored, and too many friends to count!
Myrna was preceded in death by her parents, brothers; James Darrell Wickwire and Robert Wickwire, and a sister, Sandee O’bryan.
Per Myrna’s wishes, in lieu of a funeral, a celebration of life was held on July 8th at Golden Living of Spring Hill in Spring Hill, Ks.  Cremation will take place at a later date.
As her daughter, it brings me great comfort knowing we all will be together again.

Dear Debi, I know I have no words to fill the hole in your heart and world. I’m thinking of all the love as friends you, Myrna, and I shared back in Mulberry. We all shared lots of laughter, and good times. I’m grateful to have known your Mom! And so grateful for your friendship too. Please dear Debi call me anytime, you may need a shoulder to cry on or someone to just listen. Hugs my dear friend.

Hello Cousin Debi. This is Patty… Jim (James) Darrell Wickwire Jr’s little sister. Jim passed away January 2018. I was looking his obituary up on line & saw Aunt Myrnas obituary. I’m so sad & sorry to learn of her passing. My Momma too has passed Pat (Patricia) March 4, 2006. I’m 52yrs old living in California without family or friends. No children. I moved to California 2005 with my husband Jack Wilcox Jr. He passed away November 27, 2014. Saddest day of my life! May The Souls Of The Faithful Departed Rest In Peace. God Bless you Debi as well as the rest of the family.
