Nellie Ann Trigg

Nellie Trigg, 86, Waverly, Mo passed away February 1, 2018 at Apple Ridge Care Center. Nellie was born August 16, 1931 in Mayview, Mo to James and Ruby Rivers. Nellie was the second youngest of 12 children. She grew up in Lafayette County, graduating from Lexington High School. She married George Trigg in Higginsville, Mo on April 12, 1953. Together they had 4 children; Charlotte (Ken) Minor of Kansas City, MO, Deborah (Bill) Moran of Savannah, MO, Ralph (Vickie) Trigg of Bella Vista, AR and Denise (Donny) Hicks, of Lamar, AR. Nellie enjoyed showing horses and won many ribbons, she was a longtime member of Waverly Baptist Church, and taught Sunday School, enjoyed delivering Meals on Wheels to friends in the community, she loved her flowers and spending time with her large family.

Nellie was preceded in death by her husband George in 2012, her parents and 10 siblings.

She leaves behind her children, 10 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren, a sister Alice Higgins of Texas, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Memorial contributions are asked to Waverly Baptist Church or Crossroads Hospice.

A visitation will be held on February 17, 2018 at Waverly Baptist Church, 208 E. Walnut, Waverly, Mo at 10am. There will be a Memorial service following the visitation beginning at 11am. Private family burial.

    I’m so sorry to hear of your loss, friends. I remember Mrs Nellie from my time at Waverly Baptist Church many years ago. I was very young, but I remember that she was a very special lady! Praying for you during this time.
