NELSON WELCH DAVIS

Nelson Davis, 88, of Grandview, MO, passed away August 2, 2013. A resident of the Life Care Center of Grandview and under the loving care of Grace Hospice. A visitation will be held from 9:30 to 10:30 and a memorial service following at 10:30 Wednesday, August 7^th at Heartland Cremation & Burial Society, 6113 Blue Ridge Blvd, Raytown. Burial will be at 12:00pm at Missouri Veterans Cemetery, Higginsville, MO.  Nelson is survived by his wife of 20 years, Alice; X-Wife, Marilyn; daughters, Marjorie Davidson Marietta Orender, Christy Ferguson, Stacey Davis, Tania Hagie; sons Scott Merrifield and Quentin Davis; Four step-children, Christine Derakhshanian, Stephanie Hull, Leonard Raw and Jeanette Simsky; numerous grandchildren, and his beloved cat, Sammy Davis Jr. He was a veteran serving in USCG-Merchant Marines. He was a long time member of the Ivanhoe Masonic Lodge #446 AF & AM. Nelson worked, as a tile setter well in to his 80’s. He had a fun loving sense of humor and will be missed by all that knew him.
