Norma Jean Deere, 87, of Liberty, Missouri, died on October 7, 2015 at Golden Living Nursing Home in Smithville, Missouri. Internment will be held at White Chapel Memorial Cemetery, 6600 N. Antioch Rd, Kansas City, Missouri, on October 19, 2015 at 11:30 am.
Norma was a life long resident of the Kansas City area. Norma graduated from North Kansas City High School and worked in security on the Country Club Plaza until her retirement. She was known for always being there for those that needed her, whatever the reason.
Norma was preceded in death by her parents, Edgar and Rose Stone, her sister, Marjorie Cain, and her youngest daughter, Connie J. Krueger. She is survived by her daughter, Rose Ann Friedman of Ormond Beach, FL; her son, John C. Deere of Kansas City, MO; four grandchildren, Tami Hougland, Ashley Callahan, Kyle Deere and Crystal Whitlow; six great grandchildren, Zakary, Conner, Blake and Sophie Hougland, Olivia Callahan and Brenna Whitlow and a host of dear, dear friends.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials to the Alzheimer’s Association.
