Norma Jean Nunn was born May 31, 1930 in Kansas City, KS. She was the first born to the union of Rozell and Rosetta Nunn. Norma’s mother, father, husbands, a sister and three brothers preceded her in death. Norma was educated in the Kansas City, KS school system, leading to her graduation from Sumner High School. Norma Jean accepted Christ when she was a child; she was a member of Emmanuel Baptist Church. Norma’s love for Christ was shown in her meek, gentle spirit and her expressed concern for others and this attitude she carried throughout her life. Norma played a special part in each of her family member’s lives. Norma was an active member in several social clubs.
Norma leaves to mourn her passing two daughters Rosetta Robins (Douglas Wayne) and Senovia Howse; one grandson Brandon Robins; two brothers Harold Nunn and Rozell Nunn (Glenda); eight sisters Margaret Alexander; Carole Duncan; Patricia Duncan; Deborah Courtney; Jocelyn McField (Rev. Charles McField); Linda Duncan; Harriet Johnson (Cueler) and Millicent Nunn; two cousins Ronel Nunn and Ethel Howard and many nieces nephews and friends.
Senovia and Rosetta,
My heart goes out to both of you. Mrs. Norma Jean Brown lived a good life, raised her daughters well and is now with the Lord. I will keep you in my prayers.

My sister Norma went home to be with our Heavenly father at 1:00 am Tuesday morning. Although His will is done our hearts are very heavy with sadness. Norma was like a second mom to me and I will and do already miss her. I feel truly blessed to have had such a beautiful and sweet sister, inside and out, whom I truly adored. Her sister, Jocelyn
My Dear Sisters, Brother Wayne and my Son, Brandon:
A poem I know Mother would have wanted for you.
“I am not Gone
I remain here beside you
Just in a different form
Look for me in your heart
And there you will find me
in our love which forever lives on
In those moments when you feel alone
Look for me in your thoughts
And there you will find me
in sweet memories that burn strong
Every time a tear
Forms in your beautiful eyes
Look up to the heavens
And there you will see me
Smiling down from God’s glorious skies”
