Norman L. Thompson

Norman L. Thompson, 87, of New Bloomfield, MO passed away on October 24th, 2023 at his home with his family by his side. Norman was born on February 24, 1936 to Clifford and Mildred Faye (Tracey) Thompson in Tebbetts, MO. He was united in marriage to Mary Jane Cave on May 27th, 1955.

Norman was a farmer his entire life with Mary Jane and his son David, by his side. He was an annual participant in the Kingdom of Callaway Antique Tractor Drive with his International Farmall. He raised many Blue Heeler and Border Collie dogs throughout the years, as well as Quarter horses. He enjoyed spending time with family and friends.

He is survived by three children: J David Thompson, Norma Priest (Sam), and Dana Thompson, all of New Bloomfield; 5 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by the love of his life, Mary Jane Thompson, on July 14, 2023.

Visitation will be November 2nd, 2023 at New Bloomfield Christian Church starting at 9:30 to 11:00. The service will follow at 11:00 with the Reverend Marion Mitchell, lifelong friend, Lonnie Littles, and Rev. Joe Gibson officiating.
