Opal Hallengren, 93, Born March 11, 1915 in Storm Lake, IA to Ralph and Ruby Chamberlin, took her final journey to her heavenly home on June 3, 2008. She was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years Alfred G. Hallengren, and infant daughter Pauline J. Hallengren, her parents, 2 sisters and 3 brothers. Opal is survived by her four children, Charles A Hallengren of Kansas City, MO and James Hallengren of Gladstone, MO, Paula Long, Orrick, MO and Janice Kirk of Platte City, MO, 10 grandchildren, numerous great grandchildren and many great-great grandchildren. Opal lived in North Kansas City, MO and worked 25 years for the American Can Company in North Kansas City, MO, retiring in 1976.
