Pamela Anthony

Pamela Ann (Pam) Anthony, 63, of Kansas City, MO passed away Monday, June 16,2014 at home, from metastatic leiomyosarcoma.  Memorial services will be held at 2:00pm Saturday, June 28,2014 at Heart of America Church, 7600 Blue Ridge Blvd, Kansas City, MO  64138.

Pam was born March 16, 1951 in Kansas City, MO to the late Cosby (“Buck”) and Joyce Price.  She graduated from Oak Park High School in 1969, and spent most of her life within the greater Kansas City area. Pam was very creative and clever, and enjoyed sewing, scrap-booking, making jewelry, and just about anything crafty.  She also enjoyed puzzles – crossword and jigsaw.  Her true passion was shopping, and her bargain-hunting abilities were second to none.

Her persona emanated compassion, and it showed in all things she did;  tending to her garden or house plants, preparing meals, serving coffee to her guests, or caring for her cats.  They were never just her pets; Tony, Abby, Patches, Pokey, and Ditto were her children.  Her compassion for all cats saved many feline lives in her years with us.  Many homeless cats found love, food, and shelter either with, or because of her.  Her door and her heart were always open to any animal or person that needed or asked for help.

Survivors include a daughter and son-in-law, Mandi & David Fish; a grandson Brandon Anthony; sisters Cathy Keeton, Connie Lillich, and Penny Sunbear; close friends and family members Grant & Karen Anthony, Jan Durbin, Doug Menteer, Carl Sims, Dave Wright, and many countless other friends and relatives whose lives she touched in her time with us.  Memorial contributions can be made to the family for final expenses.
